Teddington Riverside – Dartmouth Capital – Full MEP Design

Full MEP Design for new 250 unit residential development in Teddington, Greater London. The project includes the development of six residential blocks, a large common double storey basement carpark.

Loop Engineering carried out Construction level design based on a full Revit model for all service. The 3D tool proved to be very useful for coordination purposes as well as calculations and take-off schedules.

BBC

BBC WHITECITY – MEP DESIGN REVIEW

Vast redevelopment of old 14-acre BBC Whitecity campus to provide 950 new homes including 140 affordable flats. The development is mixed use including a hotel and retail units.

Loop Engineering were appointed by MJL to undertake detailed design reviews of the 2no phases they were appointed for to ensure that the Arup designs were fit-for-purpose, technically sound and buildable. This included detailed review of the apartment cooling and heating and the associated CIU and HIU cupboards and metering strategies.

THE RAM QUARTER – REDEVELOPMENT- FULL MEP DESIGN REVIEW

The scheme is a 661 residential unit redevelopment of the old Ram Brewery site in Wandsworth, London.

The design includes common basement, with heating provided by CHP and LTHW boilers. The residential units are designed to CfSH Level 4.

Kier London appointed Loop Engineering to undertake a comprehensive review of the contracted Stage E MEP package consisting of over 900 drawings;
specifications and strategy documents to advise on coordination, completeness of package, technical design and buildability.

REDROW HOMES – WEST DRAYTON – FULL DETAILED MEP DESIGN

Full MEP Design for new £40M+ 308 unit residential development in West Drayton, Greater London. We follow the BIM Level 2 process on this project.

The project includes the development of 10 residential blocks, a large common basement car park and retail units. We have been involved from inception including services disconnections for existing site, and site demolition specifications.

We were appointed for detailed design duties up to Stage F1 producing fully coordinated layouts for electrical, mechanical, public health, and vertical transportation services. The design will be delivered in 3D using REVIT 2016. The services strategy includes common basement infrastructure for the residential blocks including the installation of CHP.

The residential units are designed to CfSH Level 4.

Crown Lodge Residential Leisure Centre London

Crown Lodge Residential Leisure Centre – London

Loop Engineering were appointed to undertake a technical survey for a communal swimming pool at Crown Lodge Residential Leisure Centre in London. Current operation of the swimming pool systems has been analysed and Loop identified potential enhancements to the existing systems that would improve their energy consumption and efficiency to minimize the running costs of the pool.

  • Gas fired boilers and pool water treatment system
14 & 16 Bishopswood Road, London

12a Bishopswood Road, London

Project undertaken for Tanaina Holdings. New development of 7-storey standalone property of approximately 1,000m2 in exclusive Highgate in North London.

 

The accommodation is arranged over 7 floors and includes staff accommodation, double garage, catering kitchen, Cinema, Gym, Sauna, steamroom, indoor pool, entertaining spaces and en-suite bedrooms to the upper floors. All living spaces were provided with air-conditioning and underfloor heating. Our appointment was to undertake performance design of the mechanical, electrical, public health, lifts and pool services.

 

Full compliance with Part L was achieved using high efficiency whole-house heat recovery units and VRF cooling and heating systems operating in conjunction with underfloor heating. Fire engineering was also undertaken through an affiliated Fire consultancy. Sprinklers were a requirement as this was a new-build property.

Project undertaken for Imperial Elite Construction, including the complete refurbishment and upgrade of a terraced property to provide high end accommodation with new steam room, sauna and en-suite bathrooms.

 

Loop Engineering were appointed to undertake performance design and produce a full set of MEP drawings and specifications allowing project to be competitively tendered.

14 & 16 Bishopswood Road, London

Project undertaken for Tanaina Holdings. The project entailed the complete refurbishment of two standalone properties in London (6 floors and approximately 800m2), including basement and ground floor extensions. 

The accommodation is arranged over 6 floors and includes staff accommodation, garages, catering kitchen, Cinema, Gym, Sauna, steamroom, indoor pool, entertaining spaces and en-suite bedrooms to the upper floors. All living spaces were provided with air-conditioning and underfloor heating.

 

Our appointment was to undertake performance design of the mechanical, electrical, public health, lifts and pool services. Fire engineering was also undertaken through an affiliated Fire consultancy company, Omega Fire. Due to the size of the properties sprinklers were requested by Building Control but a concession was given for these to be omitted by providing an enhanced fire engineering solution including VESDA fire alarm systems and fire curtains. New lifts were installed feeding all floors and dumb-waiters were installed between the catering kitchen and dining areas.
