Due diligence studies are an important part of our service offering and entail detailed site reviews and assessments of existing infrastructure. This is a service valued by our clients as it ensures that the right properties and buildings are selected based on their requirements.

  • Site appraisal
  • Project appraisal
  • Portfolio appraisal
  • Risk appraisal

Loop Engineering have developed a building evaluation and benchmarking tool to compare and score different sites based on the clients specifications and requirements. This has been used successfully for multiple clients allowing databases to be developed of site capacities and provisions.

  • Building Evaluations and Site Comparisons
  • Critical facilities and Data Centre benchmarking
  • Estate wide benchmarking
  • Resilience review
  • Development of facility dashboards

Loop Engineering specialises at high level data centre audits and data centre reviews which we undertake for end users and companies looking for new facilities to host services. We are frequently requested to assist with data centre selection when a client may be considering multiple sites as part of their due diligence process.
We have developed a Data Centre and Critical Facilities Evaluation tool that can be used for benchmarking Data Centre facilities against client requirements and industry best practice.

  • Our core business is the design of mechanical, electrical and public health services in buildings. We do it with the support of latest technologies and computer aided tools
  • We currently have three network licences for REVIT2016 and four degree qualified, full time modelers with mechanical, electrical and public health engineering background
  • Our in-house engineers use MagiCAD add on software for REVIT2016 for pipework, ductwork and cable calculations
  • We also use Autodesk MEP software for the single discipline environment modeling
  • For detailed design we produce the models to LOD350 (Level of Development) as specified by the American Institute of Architects

We provide consulting services in renewable energy and sustainability to optimise our electrical and mechanical services. This includes solar design; low carbon consulting (including SBEM calculations, Part L compliance, energy efficiency and renewable technologies), energy audits; IES modelling; SAP calculations; energy management strategy and energy-efficient design.

We regularly undertake detailed condition surveys of Mechanical and Electrical services for our clients, providing detailed reports and recommendations on age and condition of plant, maintenance provisions, life expectancy and system efficiencies.

We also undertake specific dilapidation surveys at the end of tenancies or to assist in Landlord / Tenant lease negotiations.

As part of these surveys and investigations we are also able to review the efficiency of the existing MEP plant and proposed energy saving options and initiatives.

To ensure that premises continue to operate efficiently it is necessary to review operational parameters, processes and system loads on a regular basis to ensure systems are operating as efficiently as possible.

We have undertaken reviews for many of our clients including:

  • Developing Capital Plant Replacement strategies (BRE, CIBSE Guide M)
  • Re-commissioning of key services infrastructure
  • Review of critical spares
  • Auditing of FM site operations
  • Development of standard operating and emergency operating procedures (SOP/ EOPs)
  • Maintenance planning
