British Red Cross – refurbishment of London headquarters

Loop Engineering have been involved since Q4 last year on the significant phased refurbishment of the British Red Cross’ head office in Moorfields, London. The works include the complete replacement of the M&E infrastructure to this 8-storey building.

Works include:
Replacement of ventilation systems
Replacement of cooling systems
New electrical infrastructure
New lighting installation

Office fit-out – 30 Cannon Street, London

Microsoft Accelerator mep design

Loop Engineering undertook the detailed MEP designs for the Cat B fitout for two floors of 70 Wilson Street for the Microsoft Accelerator project.

Works included enhancing the basebuild ventilation, cooling systems and introducing new underfloor power and data systems. CO2 sensing and VAV boxes were introduced to maximise the limited fresh air capacity and move it areas in use.

International Banking Client

Loop Engineering are undertaking the refurbishment of two floors of the prestigious headquarters for one of our London banking clients.

Soho Works White City

Loop Engineering have delivered the MEP design for an upmarket, cutting edge 3,000m2 co-working space which will be available to its members with a state of the art environment, IT and AV infrastructure.

The main challenge for our MEP team was to adapt the existing Cat A fit-out systems which, were based on displacement ventilation and chilled ceiling, to meet new requirements. Cellularisation of the open plan office required innovative design and re-programming of the existing BMS to ensure that the new cooling system was fully integrated into the existing infrastructure.

BNY Mellon / Bank of New York – London

LOOP Engineering was appointed to deliver a detailed MEP design package for the refurbishment of 6 floors in the iconic 1 Canada Square Tower in Canary Wharf, London, for a prestigious Banking client.

Detail MEP design package included:

  • Mechanical Ventilation
  • Public Health Systems
  • Lighting design
  • Security

LOOP Engineering also provided the required support throughout the Tender process, Sub Contractors interviews, Tender Analysis and Value Engineering and were responsible for detailing of the Initial validation surveys.

2 Arena Central, Birmingham

Loop Engineering were appointed to undertake the overall MEP design monitoring and performance design on behalf of an international banking client.

The new 11 storey (incl 3 basement levels) flagship building is located in the Centre of Birmingham. The building will benefit from the latest high efficiency technologies and aims to achieve LEED Gold status. All major equipment shall be provided with N+1 resilience which includes chilled, LTHW and ventilation systems, N+N arrangement for the UPS and on site generators.

Currently undergoing the CAT-A infrastructure works with CAT-B works scheduled to commence in 2016.
